As I began to love myself I become free of the things that harmed my well being – self comparison, low self-esteem, junk food, toxic relationships, anger, hurt, and anything that made me feel less than worthy. While it may seem natural to offer our love openly to others, self-love is something strangely different. It requires patience, acceptance, understanding – things we are often willing to have with others, yet not with ourselves.
